The Urban Action Network (UAct) spurs revitalization in Springfield’s urban core by advancing and supporting community and economic development strategies and initiatives. UAct is the primary initiative of the Smith/Stocks-Smith Family Foundation, a tax-exempt 501(c)3 private operating foundation. Sheila Stocks-Smith is the Managing Trustee of the Foundation and President of UAct with full responsibility to direct the day-to-day operations of the Foundation and its initiatives. Trustees include Lawrence J. Smith, M.D., Sheila Stocks-Smith, Justin Stocks-Smith and Lauren Stocks-Smith. Trustees have full discretion over Foundation activities.
